PM Modi to hold talks with visiting Nepal PM

After the bilateral meeting, Prime Ministers of Nepal and India, KP Sharma Oli and Narendra Modi respectively, addressed a joint press conference in New Delhi.

Addressing the press conference, Modi said today was the significant day for historic Nepal-India ties.

He said India did not have any objection to the Nepal Constitution, but urged Nepal to satisfactorily solve all issues risen after promulgation of the Constitution.

Claiming that India always wanted economic prosperity and development in Nepal, Modi also announced to supply 600 megawatt electricity to Nepal within two years.

“I and entire India are supporters of economic development in Nepal,” Modi said, “We wish the Nepal-India ties would grow to a new height in your leadership.”

Before their address, the Prime Minister duo had jointly inaugurated Mujaffarpur-Dhalkebar transmission system.
