Bangladesh takes on Pakistan in the eighth match of the Asia Cup at the Shere Bangla Stadium in Dhaka. Bangladesh is currently second on the table with four points in the three matches played so far whereas Pakistan is fourth on the table with two points in the two games played so far. Pakistan needs to win today if they want to stay alive in the tournament and as would Bangladesh also. Both the teams will give their best as both of the teams have won their previous matches, Pakistan defeated the United Arab Emirates by 7 wickets and Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by 23 runs.Bangladesh played against Sri Lanka in their previous match and emerged victorious by 23 runs. Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat in the first innings, Mashrafe Mortaza and Nurul Hasan opened the proceedings for Bangladesh, Mortaza made 2 off 2 balls and Hasan made 2 off 5 balls.
After that, Mahmudallah batted throughout the innings to make 23 off 12 balls with two fours and one six. Shakib Al Hasan made 32 off 34 balls with three fours, Rahim made 4 and the man of the match was given to Sabbir Rahman who made 80 off 54 balls with ten fours and three sixes and helped Bangladesh made 147-7 in 20 overs.Sri Lanka was put on to chase which they failed by 23 runs as they were able to make 124-8 in 20 overs with Dinesh Chandimal being the pick of the scorers as he made 37 off 37 balls with four fours and Shehan Jayasuriya made 26 off 21 balls with one four and two sixes.

Pakistan did not start well as they were 17-3 but Umar Akmal and Shoaib Malik saw Pakistan through and won the game.
