ANFA to award one million each to gold medalists

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has decided to award Rs 10 lakhs each to the members of winning teams of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup and the South Asian Games (SAG) men's football. The executive committee meeting of executive committee of the ANFA on Wednesday decided to award Rs 5 lakhs each members of the winning team of Bangabandhu Gold Cup and the same amount to the squad members who won the South Asian Games. Similarly, women players who bagged silver medals in SAG will be awarded with 1 lakh each, according to ANFA. Meanwhile, the meeting also decided to name the annual U-16 tournament after the former Vice president of ANFA, late Lalit Krishna Shrestha.
